Neuartiges Lesegerät für Blinde

Wissenschaftler des Instituts für Mikrostrukturtechnik des KIT entwickeln derzeit ein technisch neuartiges Computer-Display in Blindenschrift. Die von Dr. Bastian Rapp (Institut für Mikrostrukturtechnik, IMT) geleitete Forschungsgruppe erarbeitet ein kostengünstig herzustellendes Gerät mit Hilfe der Mikrofluidik, die sich mit dem Verhalten von Flüssigleiten auf kleinstem Raum befasst. Das Vorhaben wird als besonders innovatives Projekt von Nachwuchswissenschaftlern durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) gefördert.
